Below you will find an overview of the information which you will need to have handy in order to create a Lustron Scrapbook.
You don’t have to own the Lustron in order to create a scrapbook. You can create a scrapbook for one Lustron, or many different Lustrons.
1. Title
This is the title for the Scrapbook. This title will be seen by others and it is how your scrapbook will be listed on the View Scrapbooks section. If you want lots of people to view your scrapbook, create a catchy, descriptive title. If you are making a scrapbook entry for a Lustron that is for sale, be sure to include that information in the title!
2. Check box and Lustron Information
Below the title you will see a checkbox. If your scrapbook is about a single Lustron, check the box and the fields listed below will appear. If you would like to make a scrapbook for a Lustron you have already entered in the Locator, you will be given the option to automatically import the Name, Address, Zip, etc. into the scrapbook form.
If the Lustron is not in the Locator, or you did not create the entry in the Locator, you can enter the following information:
- Lustron Name (this is different than the scrapbook title)
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip
- Favorite things
- Least Favorite Things
- Notable Facts
3. Images
You can attach up to 15 images. Images need to be less than 1MB in .jpg format. If your photos are larger they will automatically be resized. You can enter captions for each image. If you are creating a scrapbook with images of multiple Lustrons, consider using the caption field to provide information about each Lustron.
4. Comments
Have some other thoughts about your Lustron that you would like to share. Information about yourself? Parts you might be looking for? Is your Lustron for Sale? Do you want to buy a Lustron. Here is your chance to get the word out.

I want to sell my Lustron; it’s not in very good shape, but is it practical? If I disassemble the house how long would that take and is there a market anyway? It seems the best tactic might be to offer the whole thing if the buyer moves to another property, but I don’t want the whole thing to take very long as I have a great amount of money invested in the land on which the house sits.

Is anyone interested in Lustron spare parts? I am willing to disassemble my Lustron if I can do it without great cost. The house is basically “as is original” but is not going to be on the market much longer. If you’re interested in parts let me know ASAP please.
